So !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! happened at around noon today. Progressive insurance set us up with a rental by 2. It’s a Jetta SE with the 1.8 TSi. It’s bright red.

170 hp and 184 lb-ft in a car that weighs about the same as our Soul feels quick.

I would be interesting in trading in our JSW TDTI for a new JSW with the 1.8 TSI if you could get it with the 6 speed manual...alas you can’t

God that brings back bad memories. I had a 2013 Jetta S also bright red, my least favorite car that I have owned. Hope your Soul gets fixed quick!

I really hope they bring the 1.4TSi/6-speed drivetrain combo to the Golf range. That would be a good base engine and basically force them to swap the ancient 5-speed on the 1.8 for a 6-speed. I hate the ratios chosen for my car.

This one is likely to bring my wife’s VW fever back with a vengeance. She drove it from Enterprise home and she liked it a lot. We may have a Golf sportwagen in our future.

Good time to maybe make a sweet deal on a VW! It was a good car, but I bought mine for the wrong reason. I drove a car that I didn’t really want, on a long commute, to a job that I hated for 9 months. The negativity just compounded, so I shed the job then the car a week later.
